A Night Out / Una Noche Afuera

We were left a generous gift by a fellow missionary before she headed back to the US and were given strict orders that it was to do something fun and out of the ordinary (which we aren't too good about doing usually). So at the end of December we took a trip to Managua to have dinner and see Catching Fire, the second movie of The Hunger Games. We enjoyed Pizza, Ice Cream and a movie. Great night out! Una compañera misionera nos dejo un generoso regalo antes de que ella regresó a los EE.UU. y nos dio órdenes estrictas de que se trataba de hacer algo divertido y fuera de lo común (que no somos demasiado buenos en hacer por lo general). Así que al final de diciembre realizamos un viaje a Managua para cenar y ver En Llamas, la segunda película de Los Juegos del Hambre. Disfrutamos de Pizza, Helado y una película. Gran noche! Clockos & Raspados

The beginning of January, we had a visit from Larry who lived here in Diriamba for over a year. He has been studying Spanish in Costa Rica and came up to Nicaragua for a few days to fulfill his visa requirements. It was great to see him again and catch up. We bought "clockos" (tacos from the place by the public clock, Tacos El Reloj) and went to the park for lunch. Then we had raspados (shaved ice) to finish it off. It was a great day and we look forward to the next visit! (Photos below Spanish)

El principio de enero, tuvimos una visita de Larry que vivió aquí en Diriamba durante más de un año. Él ha estado estudiando español en Costa Rica y vino a Nicaragua por unos días para cumplir con los requisitos de la visa. Fue genial volver a verlo y ponerse al día. Compramos "clockos" (tacos del lugar por el reloj público, Tacos El Reloj) y fuimos al parque para el almuerzo. Luego comimos raspados para terminar. Fue un gran día, y esperamos la próxima visita!
