The Silvas: Weddings / Bodas

November 3rd was a big day as we had the opportunity to share in two weddings. We headed to Managua in the afternoon to celebrate Jairo and Raquel's wedding. And in the evening we made it back to celebrate Luis Fernando and Jenny's wedding. Jairo is Orlando's brother on his dad's side and unfortunately we don't know his bride yet, but it was great to be able to go and celebrate this special day with them.

Luis Fernando and Jenny are dear friends of ours. Luis Fernando was one of Str8way's scholarship recipients last year. They have been together for 5 years and good friends even before that. This was truly a celebration of love and commitment. We weren't sure if we would make it back for their wedding due to Jairo's wedding in Managua, so they also invited us to their civil wedding the previous Sunday. We were very blessed to have been a part of this special day. (photos below)

03 de noviembre fue un gran día, ya que tuvimos la oportunidad de participar en dos bodas. Nos dirigimos a Managua por la tarde para celebrar la boda de Jairo y Raquel. Y por la noche regresamos a Diriamba para celebrar la boda de Luis Fernando y Jenny. Jairo es el hermano de Orlando, por parte de su padre y por desafortunadamente no hemos conocido su novia todavía (a demás de verla en la boda), pero fue genial poder ir a celebrar este día tan especial con ellos.

Luis Fernando y Jenny son queridos amigos nuestros. Luis Fernando fue uno de los beneficiarios de las becas Str8way el año pasado. Ellos han estado juntos durante 5 años y buenos amigos, incluso antes de eso. Esta fue realmente una celebración de amor y compromiso. No estábamos seguros de que si llegaríamos a tiempo a su boda debido a la boda de Jairo en Managua, por lo que también nos invitó a su boda civil el domingo anterior. Fue una gran bendición haber sido parte de este día tan especial.
